Kitchen Cabinetry

Whether you are working with a blank space or refining what you already have, Foxstow approaches each kitchen as a space to be resolved.

A kitchen should feel considered, not assembled. At Foxstow, we design kitchens around the home and the people who live in it.

Every project begins with how the space will be used. Movement, storage and workflow are planned carefully so the kitchen functions naturally and feels properly integrated within the room.

Materials are selected and prepared by experienced craftsmen, with cabinetry manufactured through controlled, precise processes to ensure consistency, accuracy and long-term durability.

The result is a kitchen that feels balanced, purposeful and built to last.

Kitchens Designed Around You

Every Foxstow kitchen is designed around the way you live. Layout, storage, and proportion are considered from the outset, creating a space that feels natural to use and beautifully connected to your home.

Kitchens for Family Life

Family kitchens need to work hard without feeling overly functional. Storage is positioned where it is genuinely useful, helping everyday routines feel simpler and less cluttered, while durable materials and well-made cabinetry ensure the space continues to perform over time.

Kitchens for Cooks

For those who love cooking, the kitchen should feel intuitive to use. Preparation areas and storage are designed around how you actually use the space. Whether it's spice jars, baking trays, or your favourite coffee mugs, drawer boxes and internal storage can be designed around the things you use every day.

Kitchens for Entertaining

Whether it's a dinner with family or friends, the kitchen should feel easy to move around and comfortable to spend time in. Islands, seating and storage are planned carefully so the space works practically without losing its sense of warmth and openness.

Kitchens That Feel Part of the Home

Many of our projects extend beyond the kitchen itself. Utility rooms, boot rooms, pantries, and fitted furniture can all be designed together, creating a consistent style and level of detailing throughout the home.

Our Kitchen Portfolio

Our portfolio includes fully bespoke kitchens developed from first principles, alongside projects where clients have chosen to work within established cabinet systems such as IKEA or Howdens, using Foxstow-made doors, panels and finishing components to achieve a more resolved and considered result. Each project responds to a different set of requirements, materials and architectural contexts.

The Brudenell Kitchen

The Brudenell Kitchen was created for a new extension, using IKEA cabinet structures as the foundation for the project. Two Ways to Work With Foxstow

Every project starts differently. Some clients come to us with detailed plans, while others are just beginning to explore ideas. Whatever stage you're at, we offer two ways of working to suit your project.

Fully Bespoke Kitchens

A fully bespoke kitchen is designed specifically for your home, without being constrained by standard cabinet sizes or fixed systems. Every aspect of the layout, storage, and proportions is carefully considered, creating a kitchen that feels completely at home within the space and tailored to the way you live.

This approach offers complete design freedom, allowing every detail to be developed around your home, your lifestyle and your personal taste.

Working with IKEA, Howdens, & Similar Systems

We produce made-to-order doors, drawer fronts, panels, and finishing components for clients working with systems such as IKEA or Howdens.

In these projects, the cabinet structure and general layout are typically developed using the supplier’s planning system first, with Foxstow then manufacturing the visible elements to create a more refined and tailored final result.

This can be an effective solution where the structure is already defined, or the project is working within more fixed budget parameters, while still achieving a significantly higher standard of finish than off-the-shelf options alone.

What We Create

Every Foxstow kitchen is unique. The examples below highlight just some of the signature design features that can be incorporated to suit your home, your lifestyle and the way you live.

Kitchen Islands & Breakfast Bars

Kitchen islands often become the heart of the home, providing space for cooking, dining and everyday family life. Whether incorporating breakfast seating, additional storage or preparation space, every island is designed to suit the way you use your kitchen.

Pantry Cabinets & Internal Storage

Good storage makes a kitchen easier to live with, reducing reliance on surface space and keeping everyday items organised and accessible. Larder cupboards provide full-height storage within a controlled footprint, while internal fittings and drawer layouts can be tailored around the items they are intended to hold.

Tea and coffee areas, breakfast cupboards and preparation spaces can all be incorporated into the cabinetry, helping the kitchen feel intuitive to use while maintaining a calm, uncluttered appearance.

Open Shelving & Display Cabinetry

Open shelving and display cabinetry provide an opportunity to introduce warmth, personality and character into a kitchen. Whether displaying favourite ceramics, glassware, books or wine, these features create natural focal points while helping the space feel more relaxed and individual.

Carefully positioned within the overall design, they complement the surrounding cabinetry and add visual interest without compromising the clean, balanced feel of the kitchen.

    Our Process

    From First Conversation to Installation

Every project starts differently, but every Foxstow kitchen follows the same careful approach. We take the time to understand your home, develop the design, manufacture every component in our Oxfordshire workshop, and support the project through to installation.

Our design process can be tailored to suit everything from fully bespoke kitchens to projects based around IKEA, Howdens, and other cabinet systems.

The four stages below provide an overview of how a typical project progresses:

    1.Concept Design & Development

Every project begins with a conversation. We take time to understand your home, how you want the space to work, and what you'd like to achieve. Where architects, interior designers, or builders are involved, we work closely with them to ensure the cabinetry integrates seamlessly with the wider project.

From there, we develop a series of concept sketch layouts, exploring different arrangements for cabinetry, islands, circulation, storage, and the overall feel of the space. Through discussion and refinement, the preferred layout evolves, allowing key design decisions to be made before progressing any further.

As the concept develops, we produce realistic 3D visualisations, helping you understand how the finished kitchen will look within your home. This stage allows the design to be reviewed, refined, and agreed before progressing into production design.

    2.Production Design

Once the concept design has been approved, we move into the production design stage. Here, the agreed layout is translated into a comprehensive set of manufacturing drawings, defining exactly how every cabinet and component will be made.

Construction details, drawer runner positions, internal drawer layouts, appliance integration, ventilation requirements, service clearances and hardware selections are all carefully resolved at this stage. Every aspect of the kitchen is fully detailed, ensuring everything has been considered before manufacture begins.

With the production design complete, materials are selected and prepared, ready for manufacture in our Oxfordshire workshop.

    3.In-House Manufacture & Finishing

Manufacture begins in our Oxfordshire workshop, where every cabinet and component is produced using a combination of skilled craftsmanship and modern precision machinery, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and exceptional attention to detail throughout the project.

For fully bespoke kitchens, we carry out a full trial assembly of the cabinetry before finishing begins.

    4.Delivery & Installation

As the project nears completion, delivery is arranged with the client or wider project team. Where required, we can work alongside your chosen installer or provide support to a trusted fitter, supplying the drawings and technical information needed to ensure the cabinetry is fitted correctly.

Founded in 2012, Foxstow combines experienced kitchen designers, skilled cabinet makers, and specialist finishing craftsmen, all working together under one roof in our Oxfordshire workshop.

Our team brings together many years of experience across kitchen design, bespoke joinery and the wider construction industry, giving us a practical understanding of how cabinetry fits within a building project as a whole. Whether we're working directly with homeowners or alongside architects, interior designers and builders, we understand the importance of balancing design, functionality and buildability from the very beginning.

Because design, manufacture and finishing are all managed in-house, every decision is made collaboratively. Materials, construction methods and finishes are considered together, allowing us to deliver cabinetry that is not only beautifully made, but carefully thought through from concept to completion.

Above all, we believe lasting quality comes from experience, attention to detail and taking the time to do things properly - principles that continue to define every Foxstow project.

    Testimonials

    What Our Clients Say

We ordered our kitchen cabinet doors from Shaker Doors as they were the only door company offering slim shaker doors. The quality of the product was great and so was their customer service. We subsequently ordered more fronts for our utility room to match the kitchen ones. Couldn’t be happier. Thank you:)

    Anna Francikowska

Just an amazing company, I have had a lot of doors, panels etc in different styles made for me and all have been of the highest quality. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable of their products.

I would highly recommend Foxstow Kitchen and Cabinetry to all in need of their fantastic products.

    Jason Thomas

I ordered wardrobe doors to fit the ikea pax, as well as a custom angled door. Foxstow were great - they were very responsive by email, the doors were perfectly to spec, and the doors easy to paint. They were definitely worth ordering from, and I'd recommend them!

    Georgina Brown

Foxstow were excellent from start to finish. Jordan and Warren were both fantastic—professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I was kept informed throughout, including confirmation of the sizing and positioning of the panels and rails. Foxstow clearly know what they’re doing and operate with great efficiency.

    David Kruger

Probably the best company I have ever dealt with. Jake was fantastic. He took us round the factory explaining all the stages that our order would go through and we were highly impressed with their set up and especially their quality control. He was never pushy. Once we accepted the quote they worked to our timetable. The delivery man was helpful and friendly. Everything arrived on time and there was no damage to anything. It all fit perfectly. Most impressive was how they matched up my choice of paint colour. Fantastic company. Great prices. Superb customer service.

    Maureen Coston

Foxstow were a joy to deal with. From factory tour to delivery of finished cabinets. We chose them because we wanted cabinets veneered with real wood. Seeing the factory was great. Mark was spot-on with drawings and alterations and that gave us confidence that the finished products would be spot-on. Which they were.

    Nic Bellenberg

I'm really happy with the wardrobe doors I got from Foxstow. They went onto an Ikea pax wardrobe which my builder had modified to fill the entire available gap. Foxstow were really easy to communicate with and were happy to accommodate my bespoke size, colour and hinge placements. My builder was very impressed too and said he'd keep them in mind as they were better quality and cheaper than what he could have done himself.

    Dee-Anna Chorney

Such a wonderful product. The doors elevate IKEA pax wardrobe carcasses to a far higher level. So pleased with our first order of doors we are ordering again.

    Dennis Copping

Excellent service from start to finish - the staff were very helpful and really made the overall service first-class. My items were packaged incredibly well and suffice to say the quality of the cabinet doors and draws I ordered are superb. I would highly recommend this company and will certainly use them again.

    Geddes Hardwood

I worked with the team at Shaker Doors on my kitchen and wardrobes. I have nothing but an exceptionally high recommendation for this company, so much so, that I continue to work with Shaker Doors for all my interior design clients at Folly Interiors. The team continually embrace new creative concepts presented to them - some of which they haven't produced before - delivering them to an excellent standard and surpassing both mine and my client's expectations.

      Working Together

      Your Kitchen Partner

A successful kitchen is rarely created in isolation. Many of our commissions form part of wider renovations, extensions and whole-house joinery projects, where the cabinetry needs to sit naturally alongside the architecture, interior design, and character of the home.

From the earliest concept discussions, we work closely with homeowners and, where appointed, architects, interior designers, and builders. By becoming involved early, we can coordinate layouts, resolve technical details, and ensure the cabinetry integrates seamlessly with the wider project long before manufacture begins.

Our experience across both design and construction allows us to communicate confidently with everyone involved, helping projects progress smoothly from the initial concept through to installation. Whether we're designing a single kitchen or cabinetry throughout an entire property, our aim remains the same: to create beautifully crafted cabinetry that feels considered, well integrated, and perfectly suited to the home it belongs in.

        Most Frequently Asked Kitchen Questions

        Where are your kitchens made?

All Foxstow kitchens are designed and manufactured in our workshop in Freeland, Oxfordshire, where design, finishing, and quality checks are carried out in-house.

Can I visit the workshop and see samples?

Yes, we encourage clients to visit our workshop to view samples and talk through designs. If you can’t make it in person, Foxstow also offers phone or video consultations.

Do you do colour matching and hand-painted finishes?

At Foxstow, we use premium water-based, factory-grade paint systems and can colour-match different shades; we typically spray in a controlled factory process, but can advise about hand-finishes where appropriate.

        What are typical lead times?

Current turnaround is typically around X to X weeks, depending on material choices and the complexity of the design.

        Do you offer a warranty?

Rather than outsourcing claims, we handle faults directly: if something is our responsibility, we commit to putting it right ourselves, working with you to resolve issues.

        What material do you use?

Materials vary by project. Hardwoods such as oak are used where suitable, and quality slab MDF is commonly used for painted doors, chosen for durability and a flawless finish.

Where does your timber come from?

Foxstow always responsibly sources timber through trusted suppliers. For example, our oak comes via a northern Italy supplier with forestry concessions in Croatia, while our tulipwood comes from the Appalachian Mountains in the United States.

Where does your MDF come from?

Our MDF is sustainably manufactured in Belgium and brought to the UK via a local processing partner.

Do you work with interior designers?

Yes, we regularly collaborate with interior designers and architects and welcome bespoke commissions and designer-led door designs. Please explore our Partners page for more information.

Do you supply hardware like taps, handles, etc?

Foxstow supply a wide range of ironmongery and cabinet handles, and we can advise on or source worktops, sinks, taps, and other hardware as required.

        Do you install the kitchen?

We work closely with a select group of trusted fitters, usually operating within a 50-mile radius of our workshop. If you’re within this area, we can coordinate the installation for you.

For projects further afield, we recommend using a local fitter, and we’re always happy to support them by explaining our products and installation process to ensure a smooth fit.
