The Maidenhead Townhouse

We worked with a client in Maidenhead to create a bespoke kitchen that combines classic Shaker with distinct, modern detailing. The client had a clear vision for a space tailored to a busy lifestyle and a love of cooking, while making a bold statement with the finish and features.

The design centres on a rich palette of materials and textures. The cabinetry is finished in Farrow & Ball’s Studio Green, a deep colour that gives the traditional Shaker kitchen a completely different character. To contrast the dark colour, the doors are paired with brushed bronze handles and matching taps, adding a lovely warmth throughout the space.

At the center of the space is a stained oak Shaker island, designed to bring natural timber warmth into the room and contrast against the dark Studio Green cabinets. We built the island with bespoke pilasters, open shelving, and deep drawers for practical everyday use.

The white quartz worktop lifts the entire design and brings a bright, clean texture into the middle of the kitchen.
